Our agency partner wanted to depict the Wendy’s Giant Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger (JBC) as a treat enjoyed by kids but fit for adults. In order to play up the joke, they settled on a parody of ‘80s-era toy commercials. As always, in the restaurant category, comedy is important but food is the ultimate hero.

CREATE

We turned our studio into a surreal set that mimicked the the visual language of the toy commercials we were spoofing. We then fully committed to the ‘80s aesthetic through camera angles and movement, zooms and ramps. Concurrently, our table-top director shot the insert food on a separate set, making sure that the G-G-G-Giant Jr. got the attention it deserved.
